Tarini Jalagam is a seventh grader at Pond Road Middle School, with exceptional talents in mathematics, robotics, language arts, and sports. She has twice been honored as a national-level winner in the Math Kangaroo Competition, showcasing her outstanding numerical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
As a dedicated member of the local FLL robotics team — RoboGirls — Tarini played a pivotal role in their victory at the regional level in the FIRST LEGO League competition. Her proficiency in language arts also earned her a win at the regional level in the WordMasters Challenge, further demonstrating her diverse academic abilities.
Beyond academics, Tarini is a force to be reckoned with in sports and music. She is an avid tennis player, a skilled fencer, and a valued runner on the Pond Road Middle School cross country varsity team. She extends her leadership and compassion to the community through her volunteer work at local non-profits such as BeKind and One Project.
Her musical talents shine bright as a member of the prestigious Princeton Girls Choir, with whom she has performed at renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and the State Theatre in New Brunswick. For the past five years, Tarini has been honing her skills in Bollywood dance at the Rhythmic Arts Dance & Music Center, choreographing and performing in dances at Aadhyatmik’s annual events and parades.
In her current role as a youth leader at Aadhyatmik, she has been instrumental in organizing monthly events like the comedy show to raise funds for the local charity Anchor House, and in raising awareness about Aadhyatmik’s objectives at local township events. With her impressive achievements and commitment, Tarini stands out as a multifaceted individual on the path to making a meaningful difference in her community and beyond.
